5HTP: 25mg

5-HTP is used by the human body to make serotonin, an important substance for normal nerve and brain function. Serotonin appears to play significant roles in sleep, emotional moods, pain control, inflammation, intestinal peristalsis, and other body functions. Supplemental 5-HTP is naturally derived from the seeds of the Griffoniu simplicifoliu, a West African medicinal plant. In a clinical trial  Schwarcz, Young, and Brown (1989) performed, there was evidence to show that 5-HTP combined with a diet high in carbohydrates reduced blood pressure by an average of 6% 1

Hawthorn: 100mg

Hawthorne offers a way of strengthening the heart in the face of the struggles and strife of life, a medicine that is remarkably free of side effects, effective in its actions, and affordable. Following a report by the German Federal Ministry of Health, Hawthorn has gained full recognition as a heart remedy in Europe.[1] They found that it increases the strength of contraction of the heart muscle, normalizes irregular heart beat and increases coronary circulation by dilating the coronary arteries. They concluded that its clinical applications were the long-term treatment of ‘loss of cardiac function’, any situation where there is a subjective feelings of congestion and 'oppression' in the heart region, mild arrhythmia’s and conditions of the aging heart that do not call for Digoxin. Most significantly no side effects were noted.

Coleus Forskohlii: 25mg

Coleus forskohlii has traditionally been used to treat hypertension, congestive heart failure, and angina. Relaxes the arteries, and increased force of contraction of the heart muscle. A large-scale screening of medicinal plants by the Indian Central Drug Research Institute in 1974 revealed the presence of a hypotensive and spasmolytic component of Coleus forskohlii which was named coleanol. Additional investigation determined the exact chemical structure of this labdane diterpene and the name was changed to forskolin.

Between 1981 and 1994 forskolin has been used in well over 5,000 in vitro research studies designed to better understand cellular processes governed by cAMP. While most of these studies have used this isolated constituent, there is evidence that other components within the potant extract enhance the absorption and biological activity of forskolin - the active element in Coleus forskohlii

Aswagandha: Extract 50mg

More than 2,000 years of the Indian medical system known as Ayurveda have brought the use of many ancient herbs to light. Ashwagandha, a small evergreen shrub, is widely cultivated in India and the Middle East for its medicinal properties

Extensive research has been done over the decades, however, mostly in India, to identify the herb's chemical nature and potential benefits. These studies have shown that ashwagandha does have anti-inflammatory, anti-stress, and immune-boosting properties.

Brahmi Extract 100mg

For four weeks, 35 patients were treated for anxiety neurosis. After treatment, they were assessed for clinical anxiety levels, maladjustment level, mental fatigue rate, and immediate memory span. In those patients receiving Bacopa:

  • Anxiety levels were lowered by about 20%.
  • Maladjustment was significantly lower than its corresponding pretreatment value.
  • Mental fatigue, as determined in total daily work output, was lower.
  • Immediate memory-span scores were significantly increased.

In other words, Brahmi improved memory and productivity by reducing anxiety and related problems.

In addition to these findings, just four weeks of Bacopa therapy resulted in a decrease in average systolic blood pressure, from 117 mmHg to 112 mmHg, and a significant improvement in respiratory function.

Magnesium 10mg

Dr. Kazue Itoh and colleagues, from the Nakamura Gakuen University in Faukuoka, Japan, performed a double-blind, placebo-controlled study with thirty-three subjects who were allocated to undergo either a 4-week treatment with oral Mg supplementation (Mg(OH)2) or a placebo. The dosage of the Mg was between 410 and 550 mg per day. Supplementation with Mg led to an increase in the urinary excretion of both Mg and sodium. Both systolic and diastolic BP numbers decreased
